The end of establishing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) nationwide

With the continued increasing needs of Telematics and intelligent traffic system(ITS), the demands of new in-vehicle technology had been increasing as well.
With the end of establishing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) nationwide, the United States Department of Transportation is planning to regulate all new cars to be equipped with V2V (Vehicle to vehicle communications, a technology which allows vehicles to communicate or talk to each others, as an advanced high-tech alternative to avoiding collisions. The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), are systems developed to automate, adapt and enhance vehicle systems for safety and better driving after 2017.

Meanwhile, Wireless Access in Vehiclualr Environments(WAVE) and Dedicated Short-Range Communications(DSRC) technologies are becoming major core technologies of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Vehicles are able to connect to other vehicles via in-car pc or roadside stations in order to process V2V(Vehicle-to Vehicle) or V2I(Vehicle-to-Infrastructure) through 5.9GHz band. With these new technologies, drivers can avoid unexpected collisions, keep safety distance automatically, and receive updated traffic information at any given time.
Acrosser, a leading manufacturer of industrial PC, had committed its valuable resource for furture develop its advanced in-vehicle product lines, such as the AIV-QM97V1FL and the AIV-HM76V1FL. Acrosser in-vehicle PCs are among the best appliances in the market available today in helping build traffic management and control systems, transport telematics and intelligent traffic system.
